Has anyone else run into a problem seeing other people’s comments on your posts? Tumblr keeps saying “URL cannot be found” when I know someone reblogged my post criticizing it. I just want to rebutt the comments but Tumblr wont let me for some stupid reason. Am I the only one with these technical problems? Either that or I am blocked from seeing it, which would be annoying since it is my material. Any suggestions?

While Democrats accuse Republicans of being racist, sexist, and bigoted, Republicans have no defense other than claiming that  Democrats are promiscuous, a claim that reveals a great deal about the Republicans’ antiquated views on women and sexuality. A good cartoon.

Republicans have no defense? I’m sorry, was Dan Savage not the one who claimed that bullying was bad while at the same time calling Christians “p*ssy asses” and calling their beliefs “B*ll sh*t”? Sounds bigoted to me. Wasn’t Nancy Pelosi the one who claimed that there were racial slurs uttered and violence breaking out by the TEA Party - even though there is still a $100,000 reward for anyone who can prove it via video - while at the same time voicing her support for the Occupy movement where hundreds of videos have been plastered all over the web showing OWS vandalizing businesses, defecating on private property, and using racial slurs? Sounds like a hypocrite to me. Wasn’t Harry Reid the one who claimed that Obama would be successful because he was “light skinned” and had “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one”? Sounds like a racist comments to me.
One conservative calls a political activist who goes to a school specifically to challenge their policies a slut because she wants taxpayers to pay for her birth control and all hell breaks loose. Liberals went after Limbaugh’s sponsors trying to get him off the air in an effort to silence his first amendment rights to free speech, and they have the audacity to call conservatives extreme? But it is perfectly okay if you are a liberal. Bill Maher called Palin and Bachmann a “c*nt” and a “twat”, and Debbie Wasserman Shultz, the chair of the Democratic Party, DEFENDED Maher!
Let’s get one thing clear. The cartoon is not saying conservatives/republicans have no “defense” for the bogus claims liberals make against them. It is showing the hypocrisy  of the left and the fact that in the eyes of a liberal, it is perfectly okay to call someone anything you want on baseless claims, but if a conservative dare say one thing offensive, liberals throw a temper tantrum. Yes, it is a great cartoon if you actually look at it.

I’ll get to the rest of your points in the morning, but before then, what is it about free speech that confuses conservatives so much? Free speech isn’t the right to a podium to express your views, nor is it the right to say whatever you want without complaint, and it is definitely not the right to not have people advertise on your racist, sexist radio show.

Ok, lets get down to some business. You still haven’t (and I suspect you won’t) explained how advertisers leaving Limbaugh’s show is akin  “to silenc[ing] his first amendment rights to free speech. Instead, you quoted the first amendment and then repeated your argument, which continues to not really make any sense.
Two: lets get something straight. My original claim was that republicans have no defense for racism, sexism, etc., when they are called out on it.  You responded by attacking democrats for similar instances of racism and sexism. However, this is  not an adequate defense, or even a defense at all. It’s actually a common fallacy known as tu quoque!
But I do want to address the various claims you made, namely that the democratic party (and Bill Maher) and also racist and sexist. They definitely are. Bill Maher is a tremendous sexist, and Harry Reid was born in a time when people still thought it was ok to refer to “a Negro dialect.” So, big surprise, the vast majority of old people are racist (note that this does not excuse being a racist). For her part, Nancy Pelosi is kind of a perpetual opportunist, and sought to affiliate herself with the Occupy movement in the hopes that it could benefit her. When winter set in and OWS dispersed, she tried to distance herself from them.
Now onto the more dubious claims you posted! Having watched all of your videos, the only evidence I found for OWS being racist or anti-Semitic is a single instance of a young man referring to a visibly Jewish man as ‘Jew’. If you want to take a single instance of anti-Semitism as demonizing an entire movement, then why don’t we look at some delightful right wing signs. Oh look! Now the entire Tea Party movement is racist, and plans to violently overthrow the American government! It’s a good thing a single moment or sign can’t characterize an entire movement, otherwise I could claim that Tea Party wanted the President to be assassinated.
Before you mention it (since you are inevitably going to) being anti-Israel isn’t the same as being anti-Semitic, and you know why.
And now for Dan Savage! In the link you posted, Dan calls Christians ‘pansies’ (not great word choice, but it conveys the idea) for refusing to embrace the more controversial elements of the bible, and for using select passages to demonize homosexuals. Why don’t these same people argue for a federal law segregating menstruating women? Why don’t they push for the death penalty for women found to not be virgins on their wedding night? Why, its almost as if those ideas are insane and totally reprehensible! I could respect someone that argues for instituting total biblical law (although they would definitely be a crazy person). The fact of the matter is, Christians that agitate against homosexuality are cowards. They refuse to embrace everything in the bible, and simply pick and choose which parts of it to obey. If you can think of a reason to do this beyond ‘we hate gays, ew gross,’ I’d be curious to hear it.
The fact of the matter is, while democrats may be both sexist and racist (and often both!), the policies they espouse are far, far less harmful to women and people of colour than republican policies. If you’d care to defend the republicans against that claim, I’d be eager to hear your response.

Here is a little short video of liberal groups NOW and Media Matters organizing people (who have probably never once listened to Limbaugh’s program) to contact advertisers and tell them to stop advertising on his show ( http://dailycaller.com/2012/05/04/media-matters-now-unite-to-force-limbaugh-off-the-air/#ooid=RjZWNtNDqsQ-diNbBIJUVkDj-dUf2uC5 ) . Obviously, if Limbaugh loses advertisers, he will lose funding for his show, ergo, silencing him. Would I go after Bill Maher’s advertisers because I do not agree with him? No. I simply choose not to listen to him. Some liberals make it a point to try and prevent people they dislike from having any platform.
To your second point, I never said Republicans never made sexist or racist comments. Have you ever met someone who has never made a sexist or racist comment toward either sex or any race? It’s like finding a unicorn. I also never justified Limbaugh’s choice of words when describing Sandra Fluke, I simply said he has the right to say what he wants, without people trying to silence him, no matter how much they hate what he has to say.
Third, I never said that all Occupiers were evil, racist, or violent. I never said all OWS members were racist, I was simply giving one example (of many) that liberals seem to overlook while they demonize the TEA Party. I was making a point showing the hypocrisy of liberals, namely the Democratic leadership – Pelosi, Reid, Wasserman-Shultz, Obama, etc.. The fact of the matter is that liberals like Pelosi claim, and still claim, that the TEA Party is a violent group while providing no evidence to prove it, while they praise OWS and say they are peaceful when there is a lot of evidence showing there are a lot of violent occupiers. And I never once mentioned Israel so why would I say being anti-Israel was the same as anti-Semitic?
Calling someone a pansy does not convey any idea other than make an attempt to bully a group of people. You cannot claim all Christians demonize homosexuals. If that is what you truly believe, then you are no better than Savage – a man who hates specific individuals so much that when he disagrees with them, he tries to create a movement that defines the individuals last name as something relating to anal sex (read Savage’s story on the movement to define Santorum which deliberately attacks Rick Santorum). I do not demonize homosexuals. I simply do not support gay marriage. Savage claims to preach tolerance and at the same time, he demonizes those who disagree with them and calls them intolerant.
Christians are always the target by people such as yourself and Savage because they are the most vocal in stating their beliefs. Sorry to break it to you, but Christians are not the only ones who do not support gay marriage or homosexuality. Even if Christians were the only ones who did not support gay marriage, why should they have to conform to your thinking? Isn’t it quite bigoted of you to claims that your belief system is the only correct view?
To answer your question as to why many Christians shy away from discussing homosexuality and gay marriage is because they are vilified and harassed by advocates who support it. They are called “insane” and “cowards” - and those are just your words, which I believe are moderate compared to others I have heard. The fact of the matter is that Christians follow the teaching of Jesus who told us to love your neighbor and to love God. Christians are not being true to their faith if they say they hate someone because that is the opposite of the great commandments Jesus gave us. So to quote you and say, “we hate gays, ew gross,” would actually go against Christian teachings since we are not supposed to hate anyone. And by the way, just because someone is against gay marriage doesn’t mean they hate homosexuals.
I do have to say though that if you did actually watch all those videos and read all those articles I am impressed because 99.99% of the people on here would look at the links and not even open one of them.

The characteristic of heroism is its persistency. All men have wandering impulses, fits and starts of generosity. But when you have chosen your part, abide by it, and do not weakly try to reconcile yourself with the world. The heroic cannot be the common, nor the common heroic. Yet we have the weakness to expect the sympathy of people in those actions whose excellence is that they outrun sympathy and appeal to a tardy justice.

Btdubs, can you cite literally anything you posted?  Please and thank you! You also might want to consider not using the democratic party as an example of liberals!

First Amendment: “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press…”

The First Amendment absolutely gives you the right to express your views! Not only that, but it gives you the right to voice your opinion without government silencing you. People can disagree with you, yes, so you are correct in that there is no right protecting you from people complaining or disagreeing, but just because someone disagrees it does not mean they have the right to prevent you from voicing your opinions. If they do not like what a person has to day, they do not have to listen, but they do not have the right to take away your rights.

Advertisers have the right to advertise with ANYONE they want. They are not forced to advertise.

I could care less what Maher says about Palin or Bachmann - he has the right to say whatever he wants. But when liberals neglect, or even defend Maher for his comments, and try to crucify Limbaugh, that’s when I have an issue. It isn’t conservatives who have an issue here.

The more I reblog this cartoon, the more love it!

Here are a handful of the sources you asked for. I hope you get to all of them.

Dan Savage’s comments – I need to make a correction. I said Savage called them “P*ssy asses”, he really called them “Pansy asses”
